St Patrick’s Day may have fallen on a Tuesday this year, but last Saturday, the people of Chicago celebrated early by turning the Chicago River GREEN! The coloring process took five hours and involved a mix of forty pounds of powdered green vegetable dye being tipped overboard a boat. Thousands attend the riverside event each year, a tradition that has continued since 1962! Happy Saint Patrick's Day!
