Art historian Luis Vargas-Santiago discusses Mexico's early 20th century mural movement and how it inspired a very different mural movement in the United States.
Vargas, a graduate student from the University of Texas at Austin, has spent the summer in D.C. as a Terra Foundation Predoctoral Fellow in American Art at the Smithsonian American Art Museum.
