A C-5A Galaxy from Lackland AFB and on loan to the 439th Airlift Wing based in Westover ARB in Chicopee, MA is seen here on final to Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst. At the time the video was shot, this was one of four or five remaining C-5A aircraft in the USAF inventory; the jets from Lackland AFB are on loan to Westover as all of the C-5B Galaxy aircraft based at Westover are in the process of becoming the C-5M Super Galaxy; an aircraft that features newer and quieter engines as well as an advanced digital flight deck, among other modifications.
