Dust bathing is how chickens keep themselves clean and free of yucky pests. They dig and roll around, and fluff up their feathers to make sure the dirt gets all the way to their skin. It must feel nice because a lot of the time they'll lay there and relax for quite a while. Like a chicken spa! These little Salmon Faverolles are just learning how to use the dust bath. Seems like they approve! 🙂
