A frequently asked question we receive is,
"How do I attach my awning to my campervan or my motorhome?"
Most driveaway awnings come with driveaway straps, these clip into the tunnel and then you simply throw the straps over the vehicle, then peg on the other side. If your campervan has a pop-up roof, then just make sure the straps clear the pop-top.
My vehicle has an awning rail?
Attaching the awning to the standard awning rail fitted to the vehicle, then you will need a standard figure of 8 driveway kit as shown in the first half of the video.
My vehicle has a Thule/Fiamma Canopy?
Then you will need a 6mm to 4mm fitting kit as shown in the last half of the video.
Using a driveaway figure of eight kit is the most secure away of connecting the driveaway awning to the vehicle, BUT you will require either a standard awning channel or a Thule/Fiamma Canopy Awning.
If you have neither, you can use the supplied throw-over straps OR magnetic fixing kits are available. To use a magnetic fixing kit, then the vehicle's roof must be magnetic.

TOP TIP IF USING THE THROW OVER STRAPS!
Get a tennis ball, drill a hole in the ball, secure in the 'throw-over' strap and throw the ball with the strap over the vehicle, saves wasting your energy in windy conditions!
