I do love a bit of gold 💛 Here's a lil' process video showing how I added gilded edges to some vintage and antique photos.
It's really easy to do and I've listed the supplies I've used below.
I'm trying to mimic real gilded edges on old paper so I add brown pigment ink in Vintage Sepia by Versafine to the edges first. I find this works well as a dark base for the gold.
Then I add gilding wax by Pebeo in Empire Gold, just on the very edges of the photo to make it look as close to real gilding as much as possible. Make sure you let it dry properly as the wax will remain wet for a little while after application.
And that's pretty much it! 😃
It's a great way to add some subtle 'bling' to your paper creations.
