The Vatican says China has violated the terms of a provisional agreement over the appointment of bishops. In a statement, the Holy See said it had "surprise and regret" about the installation of an auxiliary bishop in a diocese not recognized by the Vatican. The statement also said the appointment came after "prolonged and heavy pressure from local authorities." EWTN Vatican Bureau Chief, Andreas Thonhauser, joins to tell us more about what the Vatican is saying. It seems China ignored part of this agreement. Thonhauser discusses what will happen now. On another note, the Pope met a large group of children at the Vatican Monday morning. The EWTN Vatican Bureau Chief shares more about that.
