The body of Elise Dallemagne (30) from Belgium was found on the Thai island of Koh Tao aka "Death Island" in late April 2017.
Some of the reporting in the mainstream media has been inaccurate particularly statements that her body was found hanging.
Thai authorities claimed that she committed suicide and appeared to try to cover-up her death and the circumstances of her death.
The circumstances in which her body was found clearly indicate that Elise was murdered.
An interesting aspect of the cover-up is that even an expat became involved. Steven Drylie from the UK has made false claims about deaths of several tourists on Koh Tao including: Elise Dallemagne; Shelly Bot and Luke Miller.
