This useful destination helps in travelling from Kuala Lumpur to northern Malaysia overnight, with onward connectivity in the Northern Corridor Economic Region (NCER) possible by the KTM Komuter Northern Sector (Komuter Utara).
KTM MySawasdee is a seasonal international express train service operated by KTM Berhad running between Kuala Lumpur Sentral (KL Sentral) in Malaysia 🇲🇾 and Hat Yai Junction in Thailand 🇹🇭. This special train service is primarily available during major Malaysian long weekends and holiday periods.
2 travel classes are available on board the MySawasdee, including ASC (Air-conditioned Second Class) seats and ADNS (Air-conditioned Day/Night Second) sleeper berths. Onboard amenities on this train departure include a buffet coach or café serving food and beverages, and a Chillax Coach with an open space for passengers to lounge in.
The MySawasdee train journey is designed to offer a convenient and scenic travel option, reducing the number of stops compared to regular ETS trains. The journey begins in KL Sentral and includes stops at Tanjung Malim, Ipoh, Taiping, and Padang Besar only, where I will alight. This train will continue onwards to Hat Yai Junction in Thailand.
Passengers to Hat Yai must disembark at Padang Besar for immigration clearance before continuing to other destinations in Malaysia.
