Street Dance Canada was proud to present another Canadian Street Dance Championships in affiliation with U.D.O. CSDC was held at the Metro Toronto Convention Center on Saturday March 23rd, 2013.
These are highlights from our BATTLES. The age divisions in our battles unique to U.D.O (united dance organization) and U.D.O Canadian Street Dance Championships. It allows young poppers, lockers, breakers and krumpers to compete against dancers in three different age divisions 12 & Under, 16 & Under, 17 & Over. This Championship had a turn out of over 300 dancers representing Ontario, Vancouver, Montreal and Alberta, 800 spectators with legendary, pioneering and celebrity judges from UK, NY, LA and Canada including Buddha Stretch (Elite Force/ Mop Tops) Brooke Milliner (Plague UK, principal dancer Street Dance 3D Movie), Lil C & Miss Prissy (Rize, So You Think You Can Dance, The Underground), Daniel "DaFunkyMystic" Celebre (principal dancer Michael Jackson THIS IS IT TOUR, Boogie Brat, EB Fam) Jon "Drops" Reid (Supernaturalz), Michael "Piecez" Prosserman (UNITY, EMC) Benzo (Bag of Trix), Frank Boogie (Boogie Brats), Tommy Steeze (orginal Bag of Trix, Boogie Brats) & Scramblelock (Champion Locker Montreal).
CSDC was hosted by our versatile and multi-talented celebrity hosts BIG NORM (Comedian, Chef, Musician @thebignormshow) & LENNY LEN (Choreographer/Director @lennylenzzz)
Music was provided by legendary Canadian DJ SERIOUS and audio equipment sponsored by MOOG AUDIO.
We were also proud to have CSDC was also covered by several Media sources including CTV, global and CBC.
This unique competition brought together dancers from all backgrounds, crew, school, studio and independent competitors as young as 3 years old. It also brought together many different elements of the Street Dance Community bringing HipHop/All Style solos,duos, quads, battles and crew competition together under one roof on the main stage.
