Madonna was originally intended to sing on It's Passion but the project was abandonned because they did not agree on the production of the track. The System's David Frank & Mic Murphy worked in the Music Building at the same time she and Steve Bray were living there. Dave Frank was in Madonna's band under her Gotham contract. Mic Murphy later co-wrote the unreleased track Dear Father with Andre Betts and Madonna for Erotica.
