The boiling red liquid is a mixture of red dye molecules in water, heated in a round bottom flask using an electric mantle. Can we get pure clear water back from this? - You bet we can!
As the camera pans up you can see the mercury thermometer reads exactly 100 degrees centigrade as invisible steam rises up the vessel. The condenser tube is cooled because cold water from the tap passes through the centre spiral.
The steam condenses from a gas back to a liquid in the Liebig tube and pure water (distilled water) drips out into the collecting beaker.
This experiment reminds me of when Jesus turned water into wine - But in Reverse!!!
