Join me on this film photography vlog as I'm trying out Kodak Vision3 500t with the Fujifilm tx-1 aka Japanese XPan. Shot this film for the first time at night, pushed it 2 stops. It's certainly the most cinematic film by definition, but is it my favorite? I am not quite sure yet. Definitely need to shoot this film more to form a proper opinion, but I hope you enjoyed this vlog.
Kodak Vision3 is originally motion picture video film, but it can also be shot with stills cameras with a few adaptations. There's popular brands like silbersalz who sell these, but you can also find them for cheaper off of places like amazon/lazada simply by searching for kodak vision3. There are 3 different speeds, 50d, 250d, and 500t. I chose 500 pushed 2 stops because of my whole thing for night photography and inability to use a tripod.
This is almost the same as cinestill, at least in theory, but with an added remjet layer which prevents those trademark cinestill halations. In practice though I do see some more subtle differences, especially in temperature, but there are many factors that may explain those differences so I can't speculate furhter.
