Officially ending his run for governor, on Friday afternoon Republican candidate Jack Ciattarelli announced he had called Gov. Phil Murphy to congratulate him on his reelection. But Ciattarelli’s message was clear: Despite the loss, he considers this a successful campaign and he’s not going anywhere.
On Friday, officials announced 1,524 new, positive cases of COVID-19 and six new deaths in New Jersey. Since the start of the pandemic, there have been 1,055,659 cases in the state and 28,152 confirmed as well as probable deaths.
