Beware! SCAMS on Thai/Cambodian border!

If you go to the Thai/Cambodian border at Aranyaprathet - by yourself - beware of scammers!! And it is TWO scams you get hit by! On my second trip - thinking I had wised up - I was hit by the second scam. So its sort of a double whammy there.

First scam is paying 1500 baht for a Cambodian visa - when it actually costs around 1000 (30 US dollars).

Second scam is paying 400 baht for an immigration stamp - when it should cost nothing at all.

Thailand! Clean up these scammers! I am NOT saying there is any corruption in Thailand BUT the scammers are working with corrupt Cambodian police - and the scammers come from the Thai side.

One thing I forgot to mention is that if you can get to the "Visa on arrival" building (point 5 on whiteboard) safely, maybe you need to cross the road, walk down the opposite side, and then cross back to the "Arrival" checkpoint (point 7) - as a way of skirting around the second scam (point 6).
