The North East Link Project team is getting their two giant tunnel boring machines (TBMs) ready to embark on their 6.5km tunnelling journey in Melbourne.
The second TBM cutterhead was recently lowered into place in the launch box. Hear from Jesse Fergie, Senior Project Manager for the North East Link, as he shares more about this impressive milestone!
Webuild, as part of the Spark Consortium is delivering the North East Link tunnels for the Victorian government. The project will enable a more sustainable future by taking 15,000 trucks off local roads every day and reducing travel times by up to 35 minutes for commuters. Once complete, it will be the longest road tunnel in Victoria.
