The Supreme Court has affirmed the appointment of the Governor of Yobe State, Mai Mala Buni, as Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Caretaker-National Convention Planning Committee.
A seven-man panel of the apex court headed Justice Emmanuel Agim, in its verdict, held that Buni’s position in the ruling party was not contrary to the provision of Section 183 of the 1999 Constitution because it is temporarily which is not akin to Executive office or paid employment as envisaged by Section.
