Fishful Future is an initiative that began from a need to address seafood waste through using and appreciating the whole fish.
With growing human populations in mind, and the understanding that all resources we consume are finite - how do we change our perspectives and practices with respect to food from the sea? How can we make the most of the fish that enters our seafood supply chain?
Fishful Future asks "What's a Fish Worth?" in Episode 1 of a three-part video series examining the intersections of cultural value, economic value, and an new ethical imperative to make resourceful action a priority for each and every fish that becomes food.
Funded by an award from NOAA Fisheries' Saltonstall-Kennedy Grant Program, the Fishful Future project is a collaborative effort to reduce the volume and increase the value of discarded seafood.
