The Indian document use in Romania, It must be legalised by the Ministry of External Affairs India. It is a special stamp called an Apostille. MEA India offers Apostille Services for Romania.
Required Certificate Apostille for Romania instead of Romania Embassy Attestation.
Because Romania has joined the Hague Convention Abolishing the Requirement of Legalization for Foreign Public Documents in 1991. So no required diplomatic (Romania Embassy/Consulate) legalization/authentication of certificates for Romania for the legal communication with Romania or another HCCH member of the Hague convention. The Certificates only need to be stamped with an “apostille” by the Ministry of External Affairs India, which means Certificate Apostille required for Romania because Romania is under Hague convention.
