An ongoing legal battle continues to surround the iconic Clifford’s Tower. Plans by English Heritage to build a visitor centre at the base of the tower have been besieged with criticism, with a petition signed by over 4,000 people opposing the build. Most recently, one businessman in York has appealed for a judicial review of the plans in the Court of Appeal. It comes after he lost a battle in the High Court this month.
