A YOUNG mum believes she is one of the nation’s super savers, living an extremely frugal life so her and her husband can retire when she's 50. But she is out to prove that being a super saver doesn’t have to take up too much time, nor lead to a lower quality of life. Despite being only 29 years old, thrifty teacher Nicola Richardson has made drastic cutbacks in all areas of her life to help her achieve her dream of an early, stress-free retirement. Nicola has calculated that in order for her and husband, Dave, 33, to retire in their fifties, they need to save a whopping £270,000 - or £14,000 a year - while bringing up their 10-month-old son, Alfie.
