Seen here is a train of R211As operating on the A to 96th Street via the Q line arriving & departing from Lexington Avenue-63rd Street Station.
A massive project is underway along the 8th Avenue Line. The switches at 59th Street are being replaced, forcing some serious changes on some lines.
A trains are split in two sections, between Far Rockaway/Lefferts Blvd and 96th Street on the Q line, via the F line from West 4th Street to 57th Street, and via the Q line from Lexington Avenue-63rd Street to 96th Street, with the other section split between 207th Street & 145th Street.
D trains are split between Coney Island & 42nd Street(theoretically, 34th Street), and between 145th Street & 205th Street.
This will be happening during nights and weekends for two weeks. It's gonna be real interesting to see A trains up on this side of the line, especially with the newest trains in the system and the R179s.
