Both can have i3, I5, I7 CPU motherboards, X220 also has celeron CPU version, pls watch and decide which one you would like to have it., price range may be cheaper in preloved item, range around 200$ for X220 and X240 is vary in auction. if you want light or ultra portable laptop then may consider to have X series later models. pls follow and subscribe
