Delhi Coaching Flood: The Delhi Police have arrested five individuals, including the owner of the basement, in connection with the tragic flooding at Rau’s IAS Study Circle that resulted in the deaths of three students. This follows the arrest of Rau’s CEO and a coaching coordinator. The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) has sealed 13 coaching centres in Old Rajinder Nagar for operating basements in violation of regulations and announced the formation of a high-level committee to investigate the incident. The flooding, caused by a burst drain, led to the drowning deaths of Shreya Yadav, Nivin Dalwin, and Tanya Soni, with delays in rescue operations reported due to traffic congestion. Delhi Mayor Shelly Oberoi has mandated a crackdown on illegal basement operations across the city.
