Kharkhari is an alpine Glacial lake in the upper valley Gabral Utror Kalam. It is accessed from Kalam valley via jeep able track. Gabral is less explored valley with immense natural beauty. Gabral-Utror valley is the real paradise for tourists as it offers variety of tourists attractions; hiking, trekking, Climbing, Camping, biking etc. The local people are extremely hospitable and friendly. Kharkhari Lake is situated in the end of Gabral valley and there is probably 3 hours Jeep drive from Kalam Valley. There is clear transparent water in the lake and swishing river welcome you on the way to lake. Utror-Gabral is lush green valley with indigenous culture. Potatoes and other vegetables green fields flash off your eyes with its beauty, The towering peaks of Kharkhari Sar, Miangul Sar and Gabral Sar hypnotized the tourists. When you look on your back side Deesan meadows and adjacent forest calling you for a nap there and imagining the lost paradise. Beyond the comparison "Shahi Bagh" is also situated near to Kharkhari Lake with the most beautiful campsite.
