Richard J. Goldstone, Former Justice at South Africa’s Constitutional Court and founding Chief Prosecutor of the ICTR and ICTY, shares his thoughts on the role of the judiciary in defending human rights and the rule of law during apartheid in South Africa. Judge Goldstone also discusses the relationship between the ICC and African states, as well as the future of international criminal justice on the African continent.
The Wayamo Foundation and the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung’s Rule of Law Program for anglophone Sub-Saharan Africa have launched a video gallery on the adjudication of international crimes in Africa called “International Justice in Motion: Perspectives from the Courtroom and Beyond”: [ Ссылка ]. As part of this project, experts and judges from Africa were interviewed on debates relating to current and past efforts in the prosecution and adjudication of international crimes in the region.
