#Assam | As many as two #cattlesmugglers were killed, and one drug peddler was injured in separate encounters by the Assam Police last night.
In the first instance, a team of Assam Police in #Gossaingaon launched a specific operation along the #IndoBhutan border against #cattle smugglers. Following this, the smugglers opened fire at the police personnel on duty who reportedly retaliated, killing two Uttar Pradesh-based cattle smugglers.
Meanwhile, a similar operation was launched in #Bokajan where police opened fire at a #drugsmuggler who reportedly escaped from custody.
