BJP MP Bansuri Swaraj on Tuesday accused Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal of misleading the public by announcing a non-existent health scheme called "Sanjeevani Yojana."
Citing a clarification by the Delhi Health Secretary, Swaraj stated, "The Health Secretary has publicly confirmed that there is no such scheme called 'Sanjeevani Yojana' under the Aam Aadmi Party government, as recently claimed by Kejriwal."
Kejriwal had earlier announced that under this scheme, the Delhi government would provide free medical treatment to citizens above the age of 60. However, Swaraj dismissed the claim and highlighted the absence of such a program.
She further added, "If there’s one genuine health scheme for senior citizens, it’s the 'Ayushman Bharat Yojana,' initiated by the central government. I urge Arvind Kejriwal to stop deceiving the public and implement 'Ayushman Bharat Yojana' in Delhi instead of making baseless promises."
