Mapya Khumbu miteri truss bridge is the first motorable bridge over the Dudhkoshi river that connects to the Everest region by road. Most of the trekkers to the Everest base camp trek and other treks in the Everest region were depending on the Lukla flight. They had to face fight canceled problems due to the bad weather. So this road can be an alternative to Lukla flights.
