Julia Scheuer of Schneiderbauer organic farm in Lower Bavaria, Germany, uses technology daily in her work. The family farm underwent a major technological investment a year ago to modernize the farm and make it more efficient. In the video Julia explains how smart farming solutions improve operations.
Julia grows 120 hectares including row crops like corn, soybeans, and sugarbeets and also grain and barley. The farm is totally organic, so weeds have to be controlled mechanically rather than with chemical means. Valtra Guide is a huge help because guidance is used to plant the rows of crop and then the same lines are followed to remove weeds with post-emerge tillage tools. Julia uses Farm Management Information System (FMIS) NEXT Farming to manage the farm and enjoys the convenience of sending task data wirelessly to the tractors from NEXT Machine Management via universal data exchange platform agrirouter.
To make sure her Valtra tractors are up-to-date on maintenance and performing optimally, Julia uses Valtra Connect. She is content that Valtra Smart Farming solutions are saving time and money on the farm and sees Valtra as “a good partner for the future.”
