National Athletes once again commemorated Uganda’s first Olympic Gold medalist John Akii Bua with a competition held at the Mandala national stadium in Namboole. The late Akii Bua won Uganda’s first Gold medal in Munich Germany in 1972. The event to remember the national hero was also a national time trial for athletes intending to participate in the world athletics championship due in Doha later this year.
