This antique Thomas Mercer marine chronometer just arrived in our showroom, and it works!!
Are there any Thomas Mercer collectors who can shed some light on the time period? We are jewelers, not marine experts and would love to know more about this impressive antique!
Clock face reads "A de Casseres Amsterdam No 911" and has "Thomas Mercer 15972" stamped on front brass plate. Complete with key to mahogany case, glass top and winding key engraved, "2155".
