After former Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh, now Deputy CM Of the state Ajit Pawar is on the Enforcement Directorate's radar as links of the Dy CM and his wife Sunetra Pawar have been found in the 2019 money laundering case of Maharashtra State Cooperative Bank. In its investigation, the ED has discovered that one company named M/s Sparkling Soil Pvt limited, associated with the Pawars, which holds the majority shares in Jarandeshwar Sugar mills Pvt limited which bought Jarandeshwar SSK in 2010 is linked to the case.
