Powerhouse went behind the scenes at Pella Window Corp. to see how new energy efficient windows are produced. Pella’s entire quality system is built around meeting Energy Star Energy Efficiency ratings and reducing waste.

Wood frames, argon, insulated glass and aluminum cladding are used to build the most energy-efficient windows.

After a window is designed and manufactured, it goes to the design lab to be tested against conditions that replicate sunlight, rain, wind and storms.
