Watch out for the forthcoming video to hear veteran war correspondent and former soldier Martin Bell explain how war today has become a policy option instead of a last resort; writer Geoff Dyer on the move from discussing war through fiction and poetry in earlier times to war reportage in the modern era; American novelist Ben Fountain, whose new book has been described as a modern-day "Catch 22″, on writing about war as a non-combatant; and the celebrated young author and former soldier Patrick Hennessey on the confusion and miscommunications that can arise between allies in a conflict, based on his observation of British and American troops in Afghanistan.
