Fix the Internet Download Manager (IDM) extension issue in Microsoft Edge and Chrome with these steps:

1. Enable Developer Mode in your browser's Extensions page.
2. In IDM, go to Downloads -- Options, and ensure your browsers are selected under the General tab.
3. Locate the IDM CRX files (IDM Edge and Chrome extensions) in the program's installation folder.
4. Drag and drop the CRX files into the respective browser's Extensions page.
5. Enable the extensions and test by downloading a file.
