An incredibly heartwarming story from a absolutely freezing Kashmir. Kashmiris have opened their houses and hearts for tourists caught in the snow storm and nowhere to go. Stranded on the snow-covered Srinagar-Leh highway in Kashmir tourists faced uncertainty and fear as the road closure left them with no shelter or support. Kashmiris stepped up, opening their homes and hearts to the stranded travelers. Known for their hospitality, the Kashmiris provided everything from food and warmth to medical aid. Even the mosque became a refuge when no guesthouses or hotels were available. Initially strangers, the tourists soon found themselves embraced like family, with memories they say they will cherish forever.
