The NATIVE Project provides medical,
dental, behavioral health, pharmacy,
patient care coordination, wellness, and
prevention services for both Natives and
Non-Natives in the Spokane community.
We are a Title V, Indian Health Services Contract
Clinic. Our area of expertise is Indian health,
although we serve people of all ethnicities. We
are part of the “U” (Urban) in the IHS I/T/U health
care delivery system under the Affordable Care
Act. We are a HRSA 330 Community Health Clinic
and FQHC. Additionally, we are a patient centered
medical home (PCMH) clinic and received National
Committee of Quality Assurance (NCQA) PCMH
recognition in October 2017.
The NATIVE Project operates one health facility
located in Spokane’s West Central neighborhood.
Fifty-eight percent of our patients are American
Indian or Alaska Native. We serve Natives from
over 300 different tribes. The NATIVE Project
currently has over 5,500 patients empaneled to
our clinic. In 2016, we treated 3,046 patients in our
medical clinic, as well as 400 youth, ages 0-18, in
the adolescent Behavioral Health, Mental Health,
and Substance Use Disorder (SUD) programs. Our
maximum capacity is 5,700 patients.
