Chinese New Year marks the start of a new lunar year, and in 2023 festivities begin on Sunday, January 22.
The beginning of the Year of the Rabbit will be brought in with firecracker displays and parades planned in Liverpool, and across the UK.
Others will begin their celebrations by spring cleaning. On Chinese New Year it is common for people to give gifts of money, clothes and food.
Each Chinese zodiac sign is given a horoscope for the year, and the Rabbit is said to be lucky for many. However, some signs can expect a more turbulent year.
