In this video, I’m going to show you how to use Apple’s FaceLit, a new face generation model that can create 3D relightable faces from 2D images. FaceLit is a generative framework that uses a neural volume representation and a Phong reflectance model to encode the 3D shape and appearance of a face. It can generate photorealistic and consistent face images that are comparable or even superior to real photos, and it can also render them under different lighting conditions and viewpoints. FaceLit does not require any manual annotation or capture setup, and it is available as an open-source code on GitHub. You can use FaceLit to create 3D faces for various purposes, such as entertainment, social media, gaming, security, and education.
