Antequera that lies between Malaga and Cordoba attracts us with is monument buildings. 25 churches and monasteries can be found here, even today monks and nuns live in them, isolated from everyday life.

The biggest part of the thousand-year-old town was built on a fertile plain, but the old town is undulating, with a lot of terraces. From the terrace in front of the Igleasia Del Carmen there is a beautiful view to the gate of giants and lovers’ rock. The latter commemorates the Romeo and Juliet-like story of a Christian youth and a wealthy Moorish girl.
