Launching in Spring 2013, the new Princess 88 Motor Yacht epitomises everything that is Princess. Powerful, agile and gracefully elegant she has been designed for long range cruising and her deep-V hull utilises the very latest resin infusion technology and so her performance and seakeeping are both impeccable and efficient.
The Princess designers have once again excelled in creating exterior and interior spaces that are generous in size, exceptionally well finished and incredibly flexible whether entertaining or relaxing. Wide side decks lead from the vast cockpit to a secluded 'walk-through' foredeck with forward and aft facing seating and a large sunbed, the whole seating area can be also be shaded by an optional bimini making this a perfect spot for afternoon drinks. The flybridge is also large and intelligently laid out with ample seating around a teak dining table, a wide sunbed and fully equipped bar makes this a great location for large gatherings. There is further seating either side of the twin helm seats ensuring this is also a highly sociable space when underway.
Back on the main deck and for the first time on a Princess of this size, a powered balcony can be specified which folds neatly from the starboard side deck, connecting the saloon with the anchorage through sliding glass doors. The interior styling and detailing of the 88 is exquisite with the finest fabrics and finishes used throughout. The saloon and dining area are both expansive and bathed in light from large panoramic windows which stretch the full length of either side. The wheelhouse and well specified galley are separated from the main guest areas with discrete crew access from the side decks and a dedicated servery access to the dining area ensuring the utmost privacy for guests.
The lower deck is again beautifully appointed and wonderfully versatile as owners can specify four or five en-suite cabins to suit their needs. The palatial full beam master stateroom provides a truly opulent space for owner's complete with dressing area, a huge en-suite bathroom and even a private breakfast table. Alternatively this can be specified as two roomy double en-suite cabins for those with large groups or chartering in mind. The rest of the guest accommodation consists of a forward VIP stateroom, starboard double and twin port cabin all with en-suite shower rooms.
Crew are accommodated aft of the machinery space where there are substantial quarters with a captains double cabin, a twin cabin and a crew mess area and again a choice of configurations has been added here too with the option of a three cabin layout if needed.
The Princess 88 promises to be yet another class leading model from the brand when she launches in 2013. Proof, if any were needed, that the Plymouth boat builder truly does lead the way when it comes to building exceptional motor yachts.
