A horrific plane crash occurred near Daniel K. Inouye International Airport in Honolulu on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, resulting in the deaths of two pilots.

The incident, which was captured on camera, involved a Kamaka Air Cessna 208 Caravan that was conducting a training flight.

The Crash

At approximately 3:15 p.m. local time, the Kamaka Air Flight 689 encountered difficulties shortly after takeoff. In a chilling audio exchange with the control tower, the pilot reported losing control of the aircraft:

Tower: "Kamaka Flight 689, you're turning right, correct?"
Pilot: "Kamaka 689, we are, we have, uh, we're out of control here."
