Here's a great baker's trick for using stale bread. I'm pouring two types of milk over stale bread and using an easy blender cup recipe for budin de pan my way. This is a steamed bread pudding coated in a caramel sauce perfect for the holidays. Don't throw away your stale bread and make this instead. After this recipe I never threw away stale bread. It's a delicious treat and easy to make!
INGREDIENTS
2 stale bolillo bread rolls
14 oz can sweetened condensed milk
12 oz can evaporated milk
3 large eggs
1 Tbsp Mexican vanilla extract
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp orange zest (optional)
pinch of salt
3/4 cup sugar for caramel
9-inch baking pan
