In recent weeks there's been increasing speculation surrounding Article 24 of the General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade. Often referred to as Article 24 of the World Trade Organisation, the article lays out how two countries can have special terms of trade. Some say that the UK and EU could use this article to maintain a close relationship until they are able to reach a final trade deal. We discuss if this is possible and how it would actually play out.
