TMC MP Mahua Moitra on Thursday slammed the BJP led NDA government for 'blindsiding' issues which matter to the country.
"The government doesn't want the House to function... the opposition's role is to bring up the issues that are germane to the country. Whether it is Manipur, Sambhal, Adani issue, price rise or issues of Bengal... anything that we ask for a discussion, they refuse to have discussion on it. So, this kind of blindsiding of issues that are relevant to the country today... what is Parliament there for?...," Moitra.
Proceedings of the Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha were washed out for the third day in a row on Thursday after opposition MPs created an uproar over the Adani issue and the violence in Manipur and Sambhal.
