In 1998, Nigel Mansell took part in his first official BTCC race meeting at Donington Park. Unfortunately for his fans, the F1 and IndyCar champion retired three laps into the sprint race, meaning he would start the feature race from the end of the grid. The rest is history. He would gone from the 19th position to leading the race! And even though he didn’t win, the race is considered by many fans as one of the greatest in touring car history.
