We tour around the Baltic on our BMW K1600GTL. Starting in Esbjerg on the Jutland peninsular of Denmark, we travel to the northern tip at Skagen. Across to the island of Funen and visit the wonderful castle and motor museum at Egeskov. Then across the Great Belt Bridge to Zealand where we stop at Helsingor to see the castle that inspired Shakespear's Hamlet and on to Copenhagen.
Across the longest combined road and rail bridge in Europe to Malmo in Sweden. The Oresund Bridge was made famous by the TV series 'The Bridge'. We drive down to Trelleborg where we catch a ferry to the German Island of Rugen. On Rugen we stay in the seaside resort of Binz and take a boat trip to see the stunning chalk cliffs. On our return to Esjberg we stop at Schwerin with it's lakeside palace and the delightful small traditional port of Husem. We experienced heavy rain, high winds (which closed the Oresund Bridge the day before our crossing) and bright sunshine. The bike performed flawlessly throughout, a magnificent long distance touring motorcycle.
