When we were in Taiwan, we were told by some locals to visit Sun Moon Lake, & we decided to pay a visit as it is not so far from Taichung city. The day begin with very heavy rain & it was not suitable for any kind of excursion, but unfortunately we had only 1 day remaining in Taichung so we decided to take risk & go for this attraction.
Nestled at 760 meters, this lake is famous for its clear, sparkling blue water set against a picturesque mountain backdrop. This is the largest lake in Taiwan and a traditional spot for newlywed couples to take their honeymoon. Also CNN Travel named the cycling route among the best in the world.
