Valentine's Day is HERE! Can’t believe it’s here already! I wanted to make something small and cute to give away to my family and friends, so I made these adorable little cake jars! IIn this video I made both red velvet and strawberry shortcake! And both taste great! If you don’t want to make these from scratch, you can always use box cake for these as well!

RECIPES*
Red Velvet Cake:
1/2 cup Unsalted Butter, at room temperature
1/2 cup Vegetable Oil
2 teaspoons Vanilla
1 1/2cups Sugar
2 Eggs, at room temperature
1 tsp Red No-Taste Gel Colour
2 1/2 cups Flour
2 Tablespoons Cocoa
1/2 teaspoon Salt
1 1/2 cups Buttermilk / milk
1 tablespoon Cider Vinegar
1 teaspoons Baking Soda

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line the inside of your bowl with parchment paper.
2. Place butter, oil, sugar, and vanilla in bowl of an electric mixer and beat at medium speed until well-blended.
3. Whisk flour, cocoa, and salt into a bowl and set aside.
4. Beat in eggs one at a time. With machine on low, add red gel food coloring.
5. Add flour mixture alternately with buttermilk, starting with the flour (flour, buttermilk, flour, buttermilk/milk flour..). Beat long enough to combine.
6. Place baking soda in a small dish, stir in vinegar and add to batter with machine running.
7. Pour your batter into prepared pans, place in oven and bake until a cake tester comes out clean, about half an hour.to 45 minutes Let cool.
8. If this isn’t your style, just use a boxed cake. :)

Cream Cheese Frosting:
1 cups icing sugar
1 cup thick cream9-10 cubes philidephia cream cheese,
1 tsp vanilla extract
beat them all to a thick frosting piping consistency
